Kim has worked as a licensed Massage Therapist for the past 10 years, specializing in Deep Tissue Massage, Sports Specific Massage and Medical Massage. Her interest in Holistic care began while working at Children’s Hospital, during which time she was involved in a clinical study evaluating the effects of Holistic Therapies on Critically ill newborns. The beneficial effects of massage on the newborns was very impressive and caused Kim to re-evaluate where she could make the most impact helping others. She left the conventional healthcare arena and has found her work in Massage to be both mentally stimulating and emotionally rewarding. She has studied massage at International Professional School of Bodywork, Pacific College of Oriental Massage, Natural Healing Institute and Vitality. She is also a Yoga teacher and enjoys teaching her clients poses that they can do at home to help with their problem areas and to enhance their overall well being.

Massage Services:

Therapeutic
Our most popular massage.
This focuses on problem tension areas with medium to deep pressure for the initial half of the massage. The last half is spent utilizing relaxing techniques.

Swedish/Circulatory
Swedish massage is the most commonly offered and best known type of massage. It uses a firm but gentle pressure to improve the circulation, ease muscle aches and tension, improve flexibility and create relaxation.

Shiatsu
The term Shiatsu literally means "finger pressure". In reality, various parts of the giver's body (fingers, thumbs, palms, forearms, even feet and knees) are used to apply pressure to the receiver's body. This can be targeted at general areas or specific acu-points. These techniques are used in conjunction with stretches, joint rotations and joint manipulation. Treatment is carried out fully clothed, usually with the receiver lying or sitting on a low table.

Thai Massage
Thai Massage is an interactive manipulation of the body using passive stretching and gentle pressure along energy lines. These movements help to, adjust the skeletal structure, increase flexibility, relieve muscular and joint tension, stimulate internal organs, and balance the body's energy system. The effect is uniquely relaxing as well as energizing. Receiving a Thai massage is a bit like doing yoga without putting forth any effort while also getting acupressure treatments! Treatment is carried out fully clothed, usually with the receiver lying or sitting on a low table.
